Egremont Residence II
A typical summer home that had been added onto over the years, this property lacked quality design and didn't fit the needs of the new owners.
The living room was completely remodeled, vaulting the ceiling and extending the roof line out with angled wood columns to create a covered patio. A 14' wide custom sliding door with windows above was added to connect the indoors to out. In addition, a master bedroom wing was added with a vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the mountain views.
Originally, because of the many additions, the home was also on three different levels. Care was taken in the design to slope new flooring to connect these levels and create greater accessibility between spaces.
