Pittsfield Residence
A modest kitchen redo became an ambitious remodel and expansion. The Owners sought a modern and dramatic statement expressing their taste for adventurous design.
An 8-foot by 20-foot translucent skylight added height and natural light. A fireplace and chimney were removed to provide a connection between the kitchen and living room. Sliding glass panels designed by Thomas Patti provided a separation between the two spaces when needed. The stainless steel kitchen cabinetry was custom manufactured by the German company, Balthaup.
